On this day of Thanksgiving, in all our gatherings, let us give thanks for our family, for gifts of faith, hope, and love, and for all the gifts God has bestowed to us individually and as a nation. Let us pray, especially on this day, for the poor and marginalized and all who experience so many kinds of suffering.
“We Stand in Firm Solidarity with Our Immigrant Brothers and Sisters”
In solidarity with immigrants, Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, president of the USCCB, Bishop Mark J. Seitz, chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Migration, and Bishop Jaime Soto, chairman of the board for Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., issued a statement of pastoral concern.
"In his latest encyclical Dilexit Nos, the Holy Father teaches us that devotion to the heart of Jesus can open our own hearts to renewed ways we can love and be loved. We need this timely counsel," said Archbishop Broglio.

In this spirit, Bishop Danny invites the faithful of the Diocese of Monterey to join in heartfelt prayer and fasting, seeking peace and healing for all affected by the conflict.
