Justice That Heals Conference Offers Community Conversation on Reducing Violence, Restorative Justice and Building Peace
The Community Restorative Justice Commission of Monterey County and Restorative Justice Partners Inc. invite you to “Justice that Heals,” a community conference that will take place on April 23rd at Hartnell College.
What is Restorative Justice? Restorative Justice is an approach to justice that focuses on the needs of all those affected by crime. The Justice That Heals Community Conference will offer tools and information to help all of us work together to transform the negative effects of crime that impacts victims, communities and offenders. Come listen, share and be part of the solution.
The conference will take place Saturday April 23rd from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registration, breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. Spend the day with others who share your interest in creating a community of peace. Workshop topics include:
The conference’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Mark Umbreit, founder and chair of the National Association for Community and Restorative Justice, will address Restorative Approaches that are in use at local, national and international levels.
