Through your generosity 

we were blessed by the gifts 
of “a great and loving man,” 
our Bishop, Richard Garcia. 
 
Through him we experienced 
your compassion, tenderness and unconditional love.  
Through his humility, warmth and humor 
we  encountered your Son, Jesus our Lord.
Through his gentle touch, 
we learned to trust your love for us.
 
As you guide each of us on our journey toward you,
let us be reminded of Bishop Richard’s witness
of love, obedience and trust.
May the hope he experienced in You
be the light that we follow.
